Why Does Low-Tech Living Bother Me So Much?

Here’s a rhetorical question I wrestle with: why are so many people in my life “low tech”… and why does it bug me so much?

The answer is actually pretty simple. Most people get by with just the basics. They check email, send a few texts, maybe browse the web. They’ve been burned by confusing updates or frustrating setups, so they stick to what’s safe. Meanwhile, the pace of change with Apple devices feels like drinking from a firehose.

But here’s the thing: I see what’s possible. I see how much smoother life runs when your iPhone, iPad, and Mac actually work together the way Apple designed them to. I see the time savings, the stress avoided, the joy of using tools to their full potential.

So when I watch someone barely scratch the surface of their technology, it’s like seeing someone buy a Ferrari and only drive it to the grocery store at 20 miles an hour. Painful.

That’s why I started Michael Coury Tech. My mission isn’t to turn people into tech experts—it’s to show them how to live better with the technology they already own. Once you get a taste of what the Apple ecosystem can really do for you, “low tech” living just won’t cut it anymore.
