Sign in with Apple: Why I Rely on It Every Day

I’ll admit it—I’ve come to rely on Sign in with Apple more than I ever expected. What started as a simple way to avoid making yet another password has now become one of my favorite tools in the Apple ecosystem.

Think about how often we sign up for new accounts online. A store here, a newsletter there, maybe a new streaming service your grandkids told you about. Every time, they ask for your email, a password, and sometimes even more information than you’d like to give. Before long, your inbox is overflowing and your password list looks like a phone book.

That’s where Sign in with Apple shines. With just a tap, I can use my Apple ID to create an account—no new passwords to remember, no long forms to fill out. Better yet, I get to choose whether to share my actual email address or use Apple’s “Hide My Email” feature. That means the company only gets a private, random address that forwards to me. If I get tired of their emails? I just turn that address off. No fuss.

Over time, I’ve noticed something: I feel more secure. I don’t wonder who’s holding my information or how they’re using it. Apple is standing in the middle, protecting my privacy and making the sign-in process quick and easy.

Here’s why I rely on it so much:

Peace of mind – I know my personal email isn’t floating around everywhere.

Less clutter – I can shut off marketing emails with a flip of a switch.

Convenience – Signing in is as easy as Face ID or Touch ID.

Consistency – It works across my iPhone, iPad, and Mac without a hiccup.

It’s one of those quiet features Apple built that doesn’t get as much attention as flashy new cameras or faster chips—but it makes my daily tech life smoother and safer.

I rely on Sign in with Apple because it’s more than just logging in—it’s about keeping control of my digital life without adding extra work. And for me, that’s exactly what great technology should do.

I will show you how to get started with new sites that offer this feature and then to retro fit your sign in passwords with it.
